Good News For Jets Fans: Aaron Glenn Isn't Going To Bench Justin Fields Just Because Of One 'True Bad Game' With -10 Net Passing Yards
I still can't believe we had that Broncos/Jets game in the standalone window. It was gross and the Broncos were saved because their defense is as nasty as it gets. But, this is about good news. For a franchise that loves to rotate quarterbacks, coaches and blame everyone else, Aaron Glenn is sticking with his guy
Hey, any time you can defend your quarterback after this, you simply have to
To be fair, it's not all Justin Fields. That line wasn't great, but still, you get the point here. People were begging for Tyrod Taylor, because everyone knows that's the answer. You're 0-6, let's make the switch to the crafty veteran in hopes of people stop saying Aaron Glenn should be fired before his first season is up. Then again, you're the Jets. None of it matters. You can almost predict every Jets game. They get down early, probably do some stupid things, then Justin Fields looks awesome in the 4th, Garrett Wilson gets a touchdown late and you think oh that wasn't as bad as I thought. Rinse and repeat (minus games in other countries).
Gotta think of the positives here though if you're a Jets fan. You're going to get the first pick for a quarterback in this year's draft where no one looks the part of a No. 1 quarterback. All the big names who were slated to be there haven't looked good this year. I guess you can talk yourself into Ty Simpson right now, so you got that going for you. Like I said in the blog yesterday, I almost want to feel bad for Jets fans. It's impossible, because they are who they are. You know what you signed up for being a Jets fan. You can't expect happiness. This is just another reminder of that.
