Can't Admit This: Brian Branch Claimed He Started The Postgame Fight Because He Was Being Bullied And Sick Of The Chefs Doing Stuff Between Plays

We all saw the postgame scuffle last night. I don't think it was a real fight and for sure not a brawl like Mike Tirico was trying to say on the broadcast. It was a good old fashioned brouhaha with an open hand punch/slap to the face and then a bunch of pushing. But, like most people, we were left wondering why this even happened to begin with. We have our answer:

I don't care who you are, you can't admit that you were getting bullied. Can't use those words and think it's going to play well. You're in the NFL! Gotta use something besides being bullied, it just sounds pathetic. Then again, smart to apologize because you know a pissed off Dan Campbell is ready to make you run no less than 400 suicides.

I say this as someone who likes the Lions, it's just a bad look. You can't have people defending the Chiefs because of a little bullying. At the same time, a little fight never hurt anyone. Good to have some animosity and guys wrestling around during a game, especially one with two decent teams. Bring a little bit of anger back into sports and stop with everyone being so nice all the time. Maybe don't wait until after the whistle for the fight to start though, you got 60 minutes to take care of it on the field.

I know people will say the refs fucked the Lions last night, because everyone screams that when it comes to the Chiefs. It was the perfect Chiefs spot last night. Everyone sucking the Lions off, Chiefs coming off the loss to the Jags, at home. No-brainer that they won that. But the refs, even if it was the right call, need to let cool shit go. That Jared Goff receiving touchdown was an awesome play, no one gives a shit if he didn't set for a second after lining up at quarterback. Use some common sense there.
