SEASON BACK ON: The Florida Gators Can Make The Playoff

COME ON!!! Where has this Florida Gators team been all year?! This is the squad I’ve been begging to see since Week 1. It’s incredible what happens when our stud quarterback stops playing like a Make-A-Wish kid and actually starts slinging the rock with confidence. It’s incredible what happens when our brain-dead head coach finally pops his Adderall and gets both brain cells firing at once. And it’s downright BEAUTIFUL when true freshman superstar Dallas Wilson is on the field and healthy.

Six catches. 116 yards. Two touchdowns. First career start. Against a top-10 team in the country. THATS THAT SHIT IM TALKING BOUT. The kid looked like he’d been doing this for years. He was the spark this offense has been missing all season, and you could feel the energy shift the second he started making plays.

But man, it just drives me insane that it took this long for the team to show up. Where has this team been? The defense was flying around, the offense was clicking, and for once, Florida actually looked like a team that wanted to win. This wasn’t luck, this was domination. This was Gator football.

Call me crazy, but I still believe this team can make the College Football Playoff. Yeah, I said it. If the Gators win out, they’ll have THE best resume in the country. We still have @ Texas A&M, Georgia, @ Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Florida State on the schedule. You win those games, you’re in. Period. End of story.

Now do I think Billy Napier will somehow screw it up? Absolutely. But that’s not the point. The point is that it can happen. The talent is there. The fire is there. The schedule is there. For the first time all season, I believe again.

So strap the fuck in, because if this version of the Gators sticks around… it’s about to get scary in the Swamp.
