America's Announcer: Eric Collins Won Over The Entire Country By Going Nuts On The Call For Dolphins/Panthers, Need Him Announcing A Big Time Game

For those of you unfamiliar with Eric Collins, he's the Hornets announcer. Poor guy is stuck in hell with the Hornets and then getting this as his first NFL game. Good game, but come on, it's the Panthers/Dolphins. No one wants to watch the Panthers/Dolphins. That is until we heard Eric Collins translate this from the NBA to that in the NFL:

He also had a hell of a call during college football last year:

Felt good to get some juice on a call again. I miss the old Gus Johnson, where he came onto the scene going nuts down the stretch of NCAA Tournament games. We get a little bit of that with Eric Collins again. The fact is if he can make the Panthers/Dolphins game sound awesome, he deserves a big time game. Let's get him in the booth for a game involving playoff teams. At the minimum give him that first NFL playoff game, probably with the AFC South winner playing in it.

I don't know when we got to the point that announcers got boring. I want cheering in the booth, I want guys going nuts, forget being correct or down the middle. Give me a guy who is willing to put his voice on the line for a Dolphins/Panthers game. He made that sound like the most important game of the day. That man became America's announcer in one game, time to make it permanent.
