'His Players Are Going To Run Through A Wall For Him' - It's Officially Time For Team USA Realize How Important This Ryder Cup Is And Kick Europe's Ass

It's my favorite golf week of the year. I've said it before I love everything about the Ryder Cup. I love the team selection and debate there, the course selection, how you manipulate the course as the home team and, obviously, cheering for the red, white and blue. You slap those colors on, especially in a sport I love, and we're living and dying with you. I want it to be heated again at Bethpage. I want people mad at each other and have proper sportsmanship brought up from guys too stuffy.

Most importantly? I want to win. I want to absolutely annihilate Europe again like the last time it was in the US. I want Keegan Bradley to get a win as a captain. He made the decision to not select himself, 2 years removed from being left out of going to Italy because of the boys club. A lot of people have said that if anyone else was captain you'd probably be looking at Keegan Bradley on the US team. Instead he pushed it aside and picked 6 guys in his place. That's how you lead from the front, hopefully.

I say all that because of how important this Ryder Cup actually is. You can't lose at home. You can't lose at Bethpage. Not when 4 years ago we were talking about this generation of US golfers just setting up for dominance in this event. Instead we got smoked in Rome and now play essentially the same Europe team while the US has to figure out who we are. Gone are some familiar faces (Spieth, most notably) and you have new guys with Spaun, Griffin and Young. You have a captain who lives for this event and is somewhat back home as the captain.

Run through a wall, make putts, I don't care. Just win, baby.
