We Still Have No Idea What The Hell Cris Collinsworth Was Rambling About Last Night When He Lost His Mind Over Mahomes And Russ Wilson

I typically don't mind the Tirico/Collinsworth pairing. They are Sunday Night Football, you get the Collinsworth slide, it's like a comfort show since you know what lines he'll typically break out. But last night? I'm still in shock over some of it. Obviously you had the ball washing of Mahomes throwing the ball backwards here. I don't know, maybe yell about the Giants not just falling on the ball like a bunch of goddamn morons, but fine, whatever. Instead we had Collinsworth removing his gag reflex to praise Mahomes for a fumble recovery on a play he fucked up. It just felt off. I'm also one who doesn't scream about praising Mahomes, the dude is one of the elite QB's in history. Seems fair to talk about it, but not when he's doing this.

Somehow that wasn't even the worst one.

Why the FUCK can't I blame Russ on this? That's one of the worst passes I've seen since he handed the Cowboys a win a week ago. Just launching that ball in the air like a roll of toilet paper and can't make it to the back of the end zone is all on Russ. He's the one who threw it. He's the one who can't get the ball to Nabers. He's the one who has no idea about clock and game management here. Instead Russ fucked us.

I don't know why we have to pretend like guys aren't at fault here. Too many announcers praise quarterbacks when we all have eyes and see they are blowing a game and ruining everything around them. You can't say a quarterback isn't to blame for a pick when it's all his fault. Not like he gave Nabers a chance and then handed the Chiefs to do the double before/after halftime score. Maybe he should have just thrown the ball backwards, seemed to work out for Mahomes.
