Decent Day: Luke Poulter (Ian's Son, Future Ryder Cup Enemy) Holed Out For An Eagle On 1, Aced The 3rd Hole During The Walker Cup Practice Round

If I know one thing it’s that Luke Poulter is going to be a Ryder Cup villain in a few years. You can’t be Ian’s son and not become enemy number 1 during the Ryder Cup. For now though we only have to go against him at the Walker Cup this weekend. Basically Ryder Cup for amateur golfers and it’s just Great Britain/Ireland vs the US.

So now that we have the background, Luke was in a practice round on Thursday and had the dream start. A hole out eagle to get the round going is something people dream of. To double down and get an ace on 3? Yeah, that’s one of those days. Good thing it was a practice round, he still gets credit for it, but it has no impact on him beating us. In fact I say he’s getting the good shots out early. Everyone knows if you’re hitting great shots at the range, you’re fucked on the course.

Luke did get to experience arguably the best feeling in the world. Not the hole in one, people get some on bad shots all the time. But the feeling of hitting a pure golf shot. You know the moment club meets ball it’s going to be good. You can only replicate that so many times. Not a bad day though.
