Bad to Worse: Kansas State QB Avery Johnson's Dad and Brother Reportedly Got in a Fight After the Wildcats' Loss to Iowa State in Ireland

Losses don't come much tougher than in the season opener to a conference rival with an 8-hour flight home and a video of what is reportedly your dad and your brother in a physical altercation following the game. But that's how Avery Johnson's Week 0 Saturday went.

I can't imagine what would prompt a father and son to go at it like that in front of all those people, but obviously something was said in the wake of the loss that one of them didn't take too kindly to. Nobody really comes out looking good in this, but it is mildly impressive all things considered that pops was literally on top when things were broken up. He's still got it, at least.

The game this afternoon was fine, but this is the first time I've truly felt like college football was back. Even with shipping Farmageddon overseas, we were able to keep the fire and passion a game like that deserves.

What a scene. What a sport. It's good to be back.
