Yao Ming Is A Man Of Culture, Says Philly Is His Favorite City In America Because He Loves Our Cheesesteaks

The city of Philadelphia has a rich history of culture and significance. It's the birth place of America. The Declaration of Independence was signed right on these streets. It's a major city that has a small town vibe. Art everywhere you turn. Great sports city. Awesome bar scene. And of course…

Now I've said this plenty of times before. I like cheesesteaks, but I'm not necessarily a cheesesteak guy. I'm never going to go out of my way to get a cheesesteak. But if they're around, I'm going to partake. Perfectly seasoned, sliced, and chopped up ribeye. Seeded roll, fried uhns, cooper sharp, the current staple of what makes a great cheesesteak in Philly. I'm not going to say that a cheesesteak is my favorite sandwich to come out of Philadelphia, but I can see why some would feel that way.

And for Yao Ming? A man who has travelled all across the globe and back again? Well to him, cheesesteaks are such a delicacy that they have shot Philly all the way up to the top of his rankings of American cities. New York can get fucked. LA can get fucked. Houston, where he spent his entire NBA career, can get fucked. Nothing has what Philly has when it comes to the cheesesteak. It's the greatest city in America, which ultimately makes it the greatest city in the world. And from now on, Yao Ming is a certified Philly Guy for life.

Museums are cool, too.
