'Hype Doesn't Get You Anywhere. Action Does.' - Brian Daboll Has Never Been More Ready To Coach His Ass Off (And More Importantly, Save His Job)

This is what I want to hear from Brian Daboll. I am ready to die on this hill, Brian Daboll is a good coach. He should not be fired after this season unless he pulls his pants down and takes a shit on the Giants Ring of Fame. The only other way he should get fired is if he quits during the season, turns into Ben McAdoo and the team gets blown out 17 times. I don't care if he wins 6 games, he should be the head coach next year for at least one year to try and coach the quarterback he drafted.

I like the fact this team starts with the front 7 on defense. That's Giants football, at least when Giants football was actually winning. It doesn't matter what year you go to, when the Giants were successful they had a dominant front 7. This team SHOULD be loaded up there, especially if Abdul Carter lives up to the hype.

But I love my coach dropping a random t-shirt quote on a Tuesday in August. It's about action, not just hype. I don't even mind the hype, the Giants haven't had hype in a decade. No one was hyping Daniel Jones (besides Clem and his hype circle). No one was hyping this team basically since Plaxico ended up shooting himself and ruining a year with legit Super Bowl dreams.

Now it's time for Daboll to put a little bit of weight on again and coach the boys up. Everyone knows Brian Daboll was at his best when he was husky. This is what I want though. I want him to understand there is hype but it means absolutely nothing. Now, for the love of all things holy, win some games and be competitive.
