CM Punk Reveals He Had A Handshake Agreement With Vince McMahon To Return To Wrestling In 2018/19 - But Vince Ghosted Him

Last week I was lucky enough to interview both CM Punk AND Rhea Ripley to discuss the new Netflix reality series pulling back the curtain on the WWE, titled 'WWE: Unreal' - and they pulled the curtain back on their own careers with me, telling plenty of stories I've never heard before.

One of the most surprising things I learned was the fact that CM Punk met with Vince McMahon/Triple H back in 2018-19 to talk about a potential return to wrestling. I feel like the perception online is that he wasn't even close to coming back until the AEW deal in the Summer of 2021, but he said Vince and Hunter flew out to Atlantic City for a conversation that ended in a "handshake agreement" before Vince ghosted him years prior. Insane. Imagine they were spotted together back then?!

Everything about the story is wild to me, and he teased that he'll share more in a book one day - which will obviously be a must-read.
