Thank you for gifting us this 37 year old absolute beauty of a hockey player. Brad Marchand was born to be a Florida Panther everyone knows it. Some are even saying he’s had a better career in Florida than he ever did in Boston. In fact, there are whispers that he’ll be remembered more as a Florida Panther than as a Boston Bruin. Now, I’m not the one saying it but people are talking.

And man, it brings me immense joy to see a once hated rival cross enemy lines, embrace the good side, win a Stanley Cup, and then party his ass off on Fort Lauderdale Beach while the team he left behind watches from the couch. The Boston fanbase? They’re in absolute shambles, wondering how many more decades it’ll be until they’re relevant again. Meanwhile, Marchand’s down here living his best life disheveled, beer in hand, soaking up the South Florida sun with the cup in his lap.

I could watch these clips on a loop. Seriously, just give me a highlight reel of Marchand dancing through the streets with his new brothers and I’m set for the day. And the best part? Watching him join in on the “THANK YOU, BOSTON!” chants like he’s been one of us all along. That moment was the cherry on top. He knows he belongs here. He knows he plays for one of the best run, most respected organizations in the league. And maybe most importantly he knows he’ll be back next year, chasing another one.
