Team Guy: Rafael Devers Says He's Willing To Play Wherever The San Francisco Giants Want Him To Play

Happy 'Rafael Devers is a San Francisco Giant' Day! The organization rolled out the red carpet for him this afternoon, leading up to his introductory press conference in front of the SF media. It was all sunshine and rainbows in Northern California today.
They couldn't wait to get Bonds in his ear. While David Ortiz shills for the Red Sox and motherfucks Devers on his way out, you've got the greatest hitter of all time in his corner now.
For the most part Devers played it safe in the media session, dodging all moments to bash Boston.
The real dagger to Red Sox nation's heart was this line when asked about where he was going to play on the Giants. The answer? Wherever they want. Maybe he even gets on the mound to try and counter Shohei now that they share the same division.
Well would ya look at that. Matt Chapman slotted in as the starting 3rd baseman for the foreseeable future? Not a problem, go for it Matt you earned it. Raffy will play wherever the team wants him to. The team! The team! The team! That's a leader.
While it's confusing as fuck to figure out who was right or wrong regarding this divorce, it does seem abundantly clear that Devers hated Craig Breslow and the Red Sox front office ever since the Alex Bregman signing. The moment they betrayed him they lost his trust with the franchise. Everything that's transpired since was in an effort to stick it to Breslow and make his life hell. Now he's on the west coast with a new team and a fresh start. We might even see him at first base sooner than you think.
Rooting for ya Raffy! A team guy through and through.
