All The Big Names Are Showing Up, Putting Together Ridiculous Rounds And The Masters Leaderboard Is Shaping Up To Be A Perfect Tournament

I saw this tweet from Riggs and realized how much everything is still moving. Hovland is now -6, McIlroy is now -6 and I started this blog basically around the same time. The real story here is how the big names are showing up. You have Bryson getting hot early:

Rory putting together an absurd second nine

Before all that you had Justin Rose just play consistent. The man put away his driver, went 3-wood off the tee, embraced old man golf and has the clubhouse lead

The fact is it's 2:30 on Friday afternoon and we're getting a damn near perfect leaderboard. The names everyone knows is showing up. You even have the Masters rookie Matt McCarty find himself in the top-5 with a -5 today. This is what you want from the Masters

It's perfect weather out there with wind expected to pick up. This is how you want some of the early rounds of Masters. You want guys putting themselves into position for the weekend with big shot after big shot. We've seen eagles, we've seen guys go into the water at 13 after laying up. It's delivering. That's all that matters right now. Plus, no one took a leak in Rae's Creek yet, so that's a step in the right direction.

Credit to Rose for holding the lead so far. He's been as consistent as consistent gets. But for now, the Masters is shaping up to be perfect for the weekend. The cut line keeps bouncing between +1 or +2. There's drama basically anywhere you look. Keep this leaderboard for Sunday.
