WATCH: The New Trailer For 'Mission:Impossible - The Final Reckoning' Kicks Ass

Our lives are the sum of our choices. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.

Hell yes baby. 

This trailer showed off what we already knew to expect out of this movie in crazy, practical effect stunts and awesome action. It also showed off what looks to be a little bit of a nostalgic vibe for these last few movies. Lots of callbacks to the first few movies between flashbacks, castings of legacy characters etc which I like. That also telegraphs that this might be the last movie for this franchise. Or, at least, the end of Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt. 

For my money's worth, this has been one of the best franchises in cinema. 'Mission:Impossible - Fallout' remains one of the best action movies ever made and even the worst of their movies have redeemable moments. While it does have to come to an end eventually before we end up with 70 year old Tom Cruise trying HALO jumps, it's still gonna suck to not have Hunt in our lives. If you're a person who only goes to a couple movies a year in the theaters, make this one of them.

This hits theaters May 23rd.
