'It's Going To Be A Reckoning For College Hoops' - Will Wade Looked Into The Cameras And Guaranteed NC State Makes The Tournament In His First Season

I know McNeese was a good story, but I love that we have Will Wade back in major college basketball. I should use major lightly considering the ACC has sucked and what not. But he can win at NC State. He should win at NC State. I'll go that far, mostly because I think Will Wade is an awesome coach, federal investigation, strong ass offers or not. It doesn't even matter anymore, that stuff is legal. It's called NIL. 

So now today he's doing his introductory press conference at NC State. It delivered. He made sure cameras were on, looked right at them and said a reckoning is coming to college basketball because he's at NC State. He guaranteed a trip to the NCAA Tournament next year. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but the ACC sent 3.5 teams (can't count UNC as a real one) to the Tournament this very season that we're in. 

It's perfect. This is what I want from Will Wade. I want him being the same dude who isn't afraid to call shit and guarantee stuff. But we live in a world where guarantees have to have consequences. It's pretty clear we need Will Wade to have some sort of punishment wheel because that's the world I operate in. It's also awesome he's using words like reckoning for college basketball. Talk your shit, that's basically all an introductory press conference is good for these days. You say you want to play fast, you're going to win and you win over fans.
