It Turns Out Steph Curry's Insane Pre-Game Full Court Shot That Went Viral Over The Weekend Didn't Go In And We Were All Duped

Steph Curry has been the author of some of the greatest highlights I've ever put my eyes on. Some don't even happen in the game whether it be in warm ups where he's just fucking around shooting with the wrong hand from 45 feet out not even looking at the basket. When he has a basketball in his hand I'm all eyes and ears. So when this clip surfaced this weekend before a game, my jaw proceeded to drop on the floor. As did everyone else's when you see the amount of likes any of these videos were generating.
It looked like one of those Powerade commercials with LeBron casually shooting from 3/4 court.
Well, a few days later and it turns out there are additional angles of the shot, and they show the ball didn't go in the basket…
Upon further review of the original video, Curry and the security guard next to him knew he didn't make it.

This is like finding out Santa isn't real. If this didn't go in the hoop then what can you believe? What else have I been lied to about? Sydney Sweeney is a real person, right? The sun is an actual thing and we're not in a Paradise TV type world?
To Steph Curry's credit, he's so good at what he does that even after the by-the-basket footage came out showing he missed, I assumed it was just an edit from a previous attempt on a different day made by an asshole trying to ruin the moment. That also attests to how stupid of a person I am. I would love to have heard the guys on the other side of the court be like "why are all those idiots going nuts?" Clear as day to them that the shot was short. To everyone online though it was a pure swish. For about 48 hours we all believed it, all to be dead wrong. Chalk it up to another moment where my brain gets deceived and leads me astray.
P.S. It's worth noting he has made this shot before, because of course he has.
