College Lacrosse Now Has The Best Trophy In Sports After Ohio State and Notre Dame Played For 200 Free Chicken Sandwiches

The Green Jacket at The Masters is iconic. As is the Claret Jug. Everybody knows The Heisman pose. There are plenty of great trophies across all sports, and it would be nearly impossible at this point for anything new to come in and blow the classics away. But the rivalry between Ohio State and Notre Dame lacrosse may have done just that, because the winning team in this matchup is the recipient of 200 free chicken sandwiches.

Obviously it's going to be easy for both of these teams to get up to play against each other. They're both top 20 programs in the country. They're both massive schools in the realm of collegiate athletics in general. Notre Dame are the 2x defending National Champs, and clearly Ohio State is going to want to bring it to them. But when you put 200 free chicken sandwiches on the line for the boys? Well they are going to empty the tank and leave absolutely everything they have on that field.
Just look at how hard these fellas are battling for this loose ball. You don't think they know an exorbitant amount of chicken sandwiches are up for grabs here?
College lacrosse teams have about 50 kids on the roster. Do the math. That's 4 sandos for each of the boys. You figure you rip two of them immediately after the game. You house another sandwich on the bus ride home. Then you have one more sandwich to save as a little snack before heading out for the night after you get back to campus.
Ohio State wanted those chicken sandwiches and they wanted them bad.
The Ohio State defense completely locked down a lethal and loaded Notre Dame offense. Bobby Van Buren proved that he's the best defender in the nation. Caleb Fyok, who might find a way to get a few more of those chicken sandwiches for himself standing at 6'2" 297lbs, was an absolute wall between the pipes. And the Ohio State offense made the most of their opportunities when they got them.
The season started off shaky for the Buckeyes after opening up with a 19-13 loss to Utah. But ever since then, they've been on a roll and have now won 7 straight. They smoked Virginia and came away with a tight win over the 2x defending champs. And on top of it all, the boys are going to be eating good.
Last time I checked, you can't eat the Stanley Cup. You'd fuck up your teeth so hard. Ohio State vs Notre Dame Chicken Bowl officially clears as the best trophy in sports.
