The Ref Who Ended Pitt's Season On This Disgusting Foul Call Should Be Never Be Allowed Near College Hoops Again

I know there's not a ton of reasons to care about the 12/13 game in the ACC Tournament. The ACC sucks this year. But, we saw NC State win the Tournament a year ago. Pitt, one of the biggest failures in all of college basketball this year, find themselves here. This was a team ranked 12th on KenPom on December 4th. I say all that not to say they deserve a break, but because they got fucked on one of the worst foul calls I've ever seen. This wasn't even controversial or one you can debate. There's nothing there. We saw every angle, there's nothing here that says this ref made a good call. Now, he gets to hide, not have to answer any questions as Pitt's season is over, some careers are over and Jeff Capel may or may not return to be their head coach next year. Bang up job, stripes. 

Again, Pitt has themselves to blame for being the 13 seed in the ACC. But this is such a joke of a call. This is why I always scream about refs. It's not that hard to do your job. It's also not the guy with the cleanest view of the play making the call. That's a problem. The other problem is refs review every single goddamn play in the last 2 minutes of the game, but we can't review questionable fouls like this. This is where I say give us coaches challenges. They get 2 per game and this should be allowed to be challenged. Oh, and make them explain calls if we're going to make players sit there and talk about their mistakes. Fair is fair.
