I Am Running The 1991-92 Orlando Magic Into The Ground
On Monday, I took over the 1991-92 Orlando Magic in NBA 2K25 on the Barstool Gametime YouTube. If you look at just the win-loss record, things have not gone well.
That record is accurate. we are 2-39. But it's all part of the plan.
We are trying to tank to get as many draft picks as possible. We are trying to Tank For Shaq. Because we traded anyone with any value at all including Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott, we have FOUR first round picks in this upcoming draft. We also have FIVE draft picks for the 1996 draft so we are in a great spot to maybe get Kobe Bryant. But that's for another day.
I am doing this entire simulation as a GM only. So I am not playing any games at all. That's up to the players. All I can do is try to build the best team possible and bring the first title ever to Orlando.
The chat has been fun. Despite the record, they've been supportive. They've suggested Rico Bosco for head coach and wished Magic Johnson happiness. Luckily, in this timeline, Magic is healthy and not sick. Drazen Petrovic and Reggie Lewis are also alive. This timeline is the ideal.
It does seem like we have an unusual fan base but we welcome any and all fans to the Magic organization.
We're back on the GameTime YouTube today at 3 PM EST to finish out the 1991-92 season. We are trying to tank but 2-39 is pretty rough. I really want at least one more win so we don't finish the season with 80 losses.
