Instead Of Trading Myles Garrett, The Browns Have Made Him The Highest Paid Non-QB In NFL History

CLEVELAND TO CANTON IS BACK ON!!!

Sad day for the guppies that believed Myles Garrett was serious when he released that statement asking to be traded. Sad day for the teams that thought they had a chance at getting him in a trade. And sad day / bad day for the Jersey Jerry's of the world that have to once again concede that TJ Watt is not even the best edge rusher in his own division. But a great day for the Cleveland Browns!!!!!!

....and a great day for Myles Garrett. People are going to say he sold out for the money. They're going to say he doesn't care about winning. But they can say all they want while he collects TWO AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS PER GAME.

**I will say, looking back, this letter is funny:

I called it the low point in Cleveland Browns history, worse than 1-15 and worse than 0-16. But there's nothing a hundred milly can't fix. The Browns are officially BACK (in non-tanking mode) with Joel Bitonio announcing he's not retiring and Myles Garrett getting extended another 4 years. So we have to be trying to win now, right? Why would Bitonio agree to play again if we're trying to lose. And while $40 mil a year cures all, I'd like to think we explained to Myles a little more of our vision and he liked it.

So where do the Browns go from here with #2 in the draft? It looks like Cam Ward or Shedeur, whichever is still there. I personally don't love it. I'd rather take Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter and get a stud, sign a veteran like Kirk Cousins, and get Will Howard in the 4th or 5th. I think a veteran QB can take this Browns team to the playoffs next year. But I've also said that each of the last 4 years….
