Things Are Going So Good For St. John's That We Got Rick Pitino In His Legendary White Suit Singing A Sea Shanty With Jimmy Fallon

This isn't about Jimmy Fallon as much as this is about Rick Pitino. Think about where we were with him 5 years ago or so. Back when he was coaching in Greece, people cracking jokes about his time at Louisville and basically written off from ever being a thing in college hoops again. Instead, he's taken St. John's to their first Big East title since 1985 and a top-10 AP ranking. They are legit good and it's because of Rick Pitino. 

Now, I can't tell if this is good or so bad that I'm forced to love it. But we have Rick Pitino is his legendary white suit singing. That's New York's team right there. St. John's was never on a late show. You don't have Mike Anderson or Chris Mullin out there. Rick Pitino is having a good time, living on Winged Foot and reminding everyone he's the best coach college basketball has ever seen. 

At the same time it's a lock that this will be used either as a meme making fun of St. John's crashing out early or if they make a Final Four there will be highlights set to this. There's no middle here. This is what happens when you have Rick Pitino singing a sea shanty. Either way I can't believe this is a thing. Pitino has to break out the white suit for the Big East Tournament and then if he makes it to the second weekend. It's arguably the most iconic look in college basketball right now.
