The Student Managers Are Completely Stealing The Show At This Year's Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament
Every year the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament rolls around in the first week of March. And every year, the focus is on some of the best high school hockey you'll see in the world. It's football in Texas. It's basketball in Indiana. And it's hockey in Minnesota. The goals, the celebrations, and of course--the hair.
But if day 1 of the tournament is any indication, the true stars of this year's tourney are the student managers. These kids might not be lacing up the skates and getting out on the ice, but they know they're at the Xcel Energy Center for a business trip this week.
For a lot of the players out there on the ice, it's the last chance they'll ever have to play high school hockey in their life. I'd imagine a few of these student managers are also seniors, so they have to leave everything out there as well. There's no tomorrow. You have to manage every single game like it's your last, because there's a strong chance it actually will be. When even the student managers are this dialed in, you know you're going to be a tough team to beat.
As for for current leader in the clubhouse for the All Hockey Hair Team, it has to be this menace from Hibbing snapping into a Slim Jim on his way to the blueline.
Speaking of menaces, I'm slightly concerned for this fella from the Northfield Raiders.
Psycho Pete.
