Rejoice MCU Fans, Daredevil: Born Again Is Actually Good! (Spoiler-Free Review)

Did Feige do it again or did Feige do it again? OK, I think that phrase died somewhere over the last five years following Endgame with Marvel's, shall we call it, uneven track record of movies and TV shows.

However I am here to tell the MCU fans, doomers, and haters all alike that Marvel seems to be #back on track with Daredevil: Born Again, which premiered with two episodes on Tuesday night. I wasn't too surprised that the show was good considering how many great reviews came from the original series on Netflix as well as the early reviews from people who got their hands on this season before everyone else. But I have been burnt by glowing reviews in the past, which is why I still went into the season premiere hoping for the best but prepared for the worst, which unfortunately has been my strategy with way too many shows and movies lately.

Turns out I had no reason to worry because the first two episodes ruled. I won't spoil anything in the blog, but we get plenty of action, interesting characters, and what appears to be a very fun story that can go in a ton of different directions. Charlie Cox absolutely owns the Daredevil character to the point where I don't understand why Marvel didn't bring him and his character into the MCU earlier. Same for Vincent D'Onofrio and Kingpin. I guess The Mouse wanted to flesh out a bunch of lesser known characters for some ungodly reason that obviously fell flat on its face.

Whatever. I'm not going to bitch and moan about the past anymore. This show has been awesome so far with those two leading the way and James Gandolfini's son making me smile every time I see him just because I loved his dad so much. If you have any interest in these characters or the MCU but haven't checked out the show yet, check it out on Disney+ before episode 3 next week because it gets the ol' Clem Seal of Approval, which isn't given out easily for Disney+ shows.

I wish I could say more in the blog without giving anything away, but if you want more on the first two episodes, check out today's My Mom's Basement with Robbie and I.
