People Have To Stop Talking About Cooper Flagg Coming Back To College Basketball Next Season, There's Simply No Part Of It That Makes Sense

I don't know how we got to this point. But somehow, for some reason, people keep bringing up Cooper Flagg coming back to Duke. It makes absolutely no sense. There's no world where Cooper Flagg should or would come back to Duke. I see the latest argument is the teams who will have the No. 1 pick suck. Yeah, that's going to change in a year? Let me guess, the Wizards, the Hornets, the Jazz, etc are still going to be bad.

I see people bringing up NIL. Sure, he could make a lot of NIL money. You know what he can't make? Nearly $400 million which is what he would be in line to make with his second contract. You push that back a year, I don't care who Duke has as a booster you're not getting $400 million. You don't push back that sort of wealth for a $5 million year or whatever. Not to mention Flagg reclassified so he could get to the NBA faster. It's the world we live in because the NBA has the one-and-done rule.

Plus, we're still talking about the NBA here. Flagg can just demand a trade in 2 years like everyone else if he's stuck on a bad Wizards team. Of course Duke fans will chant one more year. He's the favorite to win NPOY despite the fact he can't make a winning play against Kentucky. People don't forget what happened when Duke played a close game and a real team, not the ACC. It's March though, this is the one time we will talk about Cooper Flagg coming back. It's not happening. Now it's time for America to cheer against Duke in March, the greatest tradition in the world.
