Cold Blooded: Rory Misses A Short Putt During TGL, New York Team Promptly Brings Up The Yips That Cost Him A US Open At Pinehurst

Christ almighty, that's a great tweet. It doesn't matter that Rory helped create the league. This is about Boston vs New York. It's a rivalry, even if I still don't really understand how teams were created. I get Keegan Bradley on the Boston team, don't really understand how Hideki ended up there. But again, oh well. Because out of nowhere we get the New York team account reminding Rory of this:

I've been a huge fan of TGL. It's a perfect short watch that is even more enjoyable for my sons. My oldest wants to watch every single time it's on because of the crazy holes and how quick moving it is. Now we need to get some of this stuff. Give me the shit talking that you know happens during the rounds we don't get to see on home courses. Shane Lowry said it perfectly:

All I know is you can't expect the New York Golf Club to not mention the yips after a missed putt from a Boston player. Not when they playoffs were on the line. Rivalries don't sleep, not in year 1 and week 6 of a new golf league. The whole thing with TGL was to make golf fun and a different feel on a Monday or Tuesday. I think they did it with ease. Showed they were willing to change the hammer rule, now go into the next season and can change a couple more things. Step 1 has to be give us a little more shit talking with these guys mic'd up.
