Rick Pitino Needs To Bust Out The White Suit For The NCAA Tournament
So Rick Pitino busted out the white suit on Saturday for St. John's Big East clinching victory over Seton Hall. Was it a little premature by Pitino? Wouldn't have been the first time someone accused him of that. But the fact of the matter stands, the white suit is officially back in the closet. Now, my nitpick would be that he knew he was going to win this game. Would he have rolled this out had the Red Storm been underdogs on Saturday? We'll never know. But now the question must be asked: when is it coming back?
Titus thinks it's fair to bring it out in the Sweet 16. I'm fine with that, but then every game afterwards he has to wear it too, right? I love the white suit as much as the next guy, but it can't become a thing that we bust out when we're 10+ point favorites. St. Johns was never going to lose in the Garden against Seton Hall. Be prepared to do it in the biggest games or don't do it at all.
