Okay, no one can say Rick was never confident. That dude has every reason to be confident. He's the single best  coach this game has ever seen. Doesn't matter where he's at, he wins. Doesn't matter what style he plays, he finds a way for his team to make it work. I say all that because he was right. 

He won at least a share of the Big East since Looie was there. In fact he's about to do something for the first time since 1985 - the year Looie brought St. John's to the Final Four. 

Yep, that'll do it. Shit, if you really want to deep dive into their stuff they are legit 4 shots away from being undefeated. I know the Big East is down, but it's St. John's. We haven't seen them relevant in 30 years. That all changed the moment they hired Rick Pitino. No one should be surprised. No one should ever doubt Rick Pitino. The guy wins. He doesn't have the trophy case as Wooden and K, but that doesn't necessarily matter when you watch it all play out. The dude is the best coach we've seen.
