Fair or Foul: Michigan Lost A Huge Rivalry Game And Then Vlad Goldin Proposed At Midcourt After
Ugh, damn. Rats! Hate to see Michigan lose a big game like this, especially at home! What was on the line here, anyways? I know first and foremost it was a rivalry game, biut upon looking at the standings, it kappears that 1st place in the Big Ten was at stake too. Now we get to see the Walmart Wolverines squirm and wiggle their little brains into deciding that neither really matter as long as they can still win a Natty....
Either way, one thing I've always wondered is what players do after such a tough loss. One on hand, I could see them going home and trying to sleep. Being so mad that they can't see anyone, let alone have any fun. But then again, they're college kids. Can they just brush it off and go out on the town?
Well, my question was answered when not only did Vlad Goldin not go home immediately after the huge loss, he proceeded to stick around after the game and PROPOSE ON THE COURT!
Okay I'm going to take off the "I Hate Michigan" hat for a second. This is crazy, no? You just lost a game in which you could've solidified a stronghold the Big 10 Championship. You were at home. You were favorites. AND one huge reason you lost is because you got out rebounded by 10 on the glass and 7 on the offensive end, when you have not one but two seven footers. Am I crazy or is it insane to propose after this? I'm not trying to take anything away from the couple but this is a bad omen. I won't even mention that it's possible that Vlad's mind was more on the proposal than it was on the game, but the score kinda shows that too....
