Creighton Breaking Out $1 Beer Night For Dan Hurley's Return To Omaha Is A Diabolical Move That More Teams Need To Do

This is one of those promos that happens every year, it hits every year and there's something just about seeing $1 beer night that gets the blood flowing. Creighton is known for this. They do it once a year and it sticks to the point that Big East coaches have talked about having no shot walking into Omaha on a night like this. Steve Lavin used to show up for dollar beer night

But here's where it's a bit diabolical. This is what happened last year with Dan Hurley and Creighton: 

Now you have Hurley coming back, Creighton ranked again and they smell blood in the water. It's the perfect night for this sort of promo. It's a loaded college basketball night, like most Tuesday's, and Creighton trying to stay alive to win the Big East. Every college program should do a dollar beer night. No one is above that. This isn't rushing the floor or any of those sort of arguments people get into. Gotta give college kids something they can afford, plus, it's a homecourt advantage. I want my fans catching a good buzz before the game, filling up the stands and ready for havoc. 

Even better is this is a 9pm start/8 local time. Plenty of time to drink, likely get the TV1 for me so I can see what happens again with Hurley and Creighton fans. They will be relentless, you know that's going to happen. Give me more dollar beer nights in college basketball.
