It's Time For Kellen Moore To Call The Game Of His Life Before Staying In New Orleans To Take The Saints Job

Welcome back to another Super Bowl Sunday where the Philadelphia Eagles are losing a key coordinator to the host city before kickoff. I think everyone just assumed at this point that Kellen Moore was taking the Saints job once the game wraps up tonight. But here comes that slimy little weasel Adam Schefter to report the news aggressively early.

What an asshole. There's literally zero need whatsoever for this report. There's not an ounce of new information in there. Everyone has known for over a week know that Kellen Moore is "expected" to become the Saints next HC barring any "unexpected developments". Not a drop of new information, but he decides to put this report out there at 10:45 the night before the Super Bowl because he's a rat.

Now here's the thing--If Kellen Moore goes out there tonight and calls the best game of his career? Then there’s no hard feelings with him taking the Saints job. The reason why coordinators come to Philly in the first place is because it's quite literally the greatest spot in the league to spring board your career to that next level. Kellen Moore's goal wasn't to be the Eagles' offensive coordinator forever. This was the plan all along, and you can't fault a guy for taking a job that will change his life.

The thing that made a guy like Jonathan Gannon such a piece of shit is that he took the Cardinals job, decided to basically just sleep through Super Bowl LVII, and then got to just stay in Arizona without having to get back on the plane with the team. If Jonathan Gannon took the Cardinals job AND the Eagles defense went out to completely abuse Patrick Mahomes in that game? Then it is what it is.

So Kellen Moore has an opportunity here. He can completely empty the clip, call the best game of his career, and the Eagles offense can carry Philadelphia to the 2nd Super Bowl win in franchise history. Kellen Moore will always be a legend in this city, and happily welcomed back any time he's in town. Or he can go the Jonathan Gannon route and the town will hate him forever. But I don't think we have to worry about that option. This is the last chance Kellen Moore will ever get to coach an offense this loaded with talent. I think he'll take full advantage of it tonight.

Go Birds.
