MLB Petty Wars Rock - The Dodgers Are Giving Away A Blake Snell Bobblehead And A Replica World Series Trophy When The Padres Come To Town

Not only do the Dodgers own the Padres on the field, they continue to own them off the field as well. We all remember the fireworks these two squads gave us last year in the playoffs, Dave Roberts being upset Manny Machado tossed a ball in his direction, Dodgers fans throwing things at Padres players in the outfield, it was a fiery series as the Dodgers tossed 24 scoreless innings to end the series on their way to winning it all. All the Dodgers have done since them is spend like a trillion dollars and add every good player out there, the Padres quite literally have done nothing. But we're not here to talk about what happens on the diamond, we're talking about what the Dodgers marketing and game day promotions teams are doing to the Padres because they continue to bury them.

LA and San Diego kick off a series on Monday, June 16th and if you are lucky enough to get a ticket you can get your very own Blake Snell Dodgers bobblehead! The best part of this giveaway is that Snell had been on the San Diego side of this rivalry for a few seasons before signing with the Dodgers in the off-season. Big time petty moves giving away a bobblehead of the team's former ace who know wears Dodger blue, Padre fans can't feel to great about those. Guessing a few of the SD fans will gladly dispose of their bobbles in the trash if they get em. But if you can't make it to the game on Monday, try to hit Tuesday's game.

This is where the pettiness kicks up to a whole other level, those fans in attendance on Tuesday will get their very own 2025 World Series replica trophy! So not only will the Padres fans have to be reminded that their former ace now plays for their rivals, they will now be reminded all game long that they choked away that NLDS series after being up on LA because there will be like 40,000 fake World Series trophies hanging around in the crowd. Padres really can't buy a win when it comes to their rivalry with LA, they get boat raced when they play them in big spots and now their fans are going to be reminding them all series long that they yet again continue to win vs them.

Probably a good series to skip out on if you're rooting for the Padres, just kinda chalk it up as a loss and keep it moving that week. Big time "big brother vs little brother" energy here in this rivalry, teams don't like each other, Dodgers are spending money like it's going out of style, Padres sitting on their hands missing out on every big name player, now they're getting trolled and danced on by promo items. Good thing it's such an awesome place to live because San Diego can't catch a win right now. Bring me all of the pettiness like this, it's great for baseball.
