Let's Unpack All The Reasons Why Cam Newton Is An Idiot For Thinking Jalen Hurts Wouldn't Be Successful In The AFC

Cam Newton made the rounds yesterday for saying that he wouldn't trade his MVP award for a Super Bowl win. And to be fair, there is at least a semblance argument to be made for that. I can understand the point that he was trying to make that he held up his end of the bargain. He's wrong, but at least there's an argument to be made there. I'm sure the Carolina Panthers, who paid him $127 million, would prefer to have a Super Bowl win over that MVP trophy right now. Which is probably the reason why the Carolina Panthers don't even acknowledge Cam Newton anymore, since he's a selfish dickhead. But either way, that wasn't even the dumbest thing he said on the day.

The thing about Cam Newton is that he's an idiot. And the thing about idiots is that they don't argue with facts, but rather strictly with personal opinion. And in Cam Newton's personal opinion, the only reason why Jalen Hurts is successful is because he's playing in the NFC.

Now first of all, let's just be clear with where all this is coming from. Cam Newton hates the fact that Jalen Hurts is coming to erase all of his records for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback by way of the tush push. That's all there is to it. He hates that Jalen Hurts broke his record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a season. He hates that Jalen Hurts was the first quarterback to have 3 consecutive seasons of 10+ rushing touchdowns, and now he just added a 4th consecutive season onto that. And most importantly, he hates that Jalen Hurts is inevitably going to takeover as the all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns as a quarterback once he gets to 75 in another couple of seasons.

Cam Newton, who clearly only cares about himself and his own legacy, is now doing everything possible to discredit Jalen Hurts. The best way to do that is to just throw some hypotheticals out there. Jalen Hurts wouldn't be successful in the AFC because that's where all the "game changers" are. Let's talk about those game changers that he mentioned real quick…

  • Josh Allen? Well here's the thing…Jalen Hurts beat Josh Allen 37-34 in overtime in week 12 in 2023.
  • Lamar Jackson? Well here's the thing…Jalen Hurts beat Lamar Jackson 24-19 in week 13 this year.
  • Joe Burrow? Well here's the thing…Jalen Hurts beat Joe Burrow 37-17 in week 8 this year.
  • Patrick Mahomes? Well here's the thing…Jalen Hurt beat Patrick Mahomes 21-17 in week 11 in 2023.

Now obviously you can go back to the 2022 Super Bowl where the Eagles lost to the Chiefs. But just remember here that Cam Newton is a guy who prioritizes the individual success over the team. And in that 2022 Super Bowl, you could argue that Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes. At the very least, he played just as well as Mahomes in that game.

The fact of the matter is that since 2022, Jalen Hurts is 14-1 vs AFC opponents. He's beaten all of the top AFC quarterbacks before. You can even add Tua and Trevor Lawrence into that mix if you want. I get that the NFC isn't as loaded with quarterback power, but it's as if Cam Newton has no idea what he's talking about. Which surely couldn't be the case because he speaks so confidently on the subject.

You know what they say. If he talks like a dipshit, and he dresses like a dipshit, and he texts like a dipshit, and he acts like a dipshit. Then chances are high that Cam Newton is a dipshit.
