Dana White Slams UFC Fighter Bryce Mitchell For Saying He Thinks Hitler "Was A Good Guy" Today
Never a dull moment in mixed martial arts. Some days you wake up to fight news, other days you wake up to a UFC fighter saying he honestly thinks Hitler was a good guy....
Bryce has said some stupid, ignorant shit before, but holy fuck. That's just about the worst rant imaginable. Trent texted me before and said he doesn't know how Bryce's cohost didn't SPRINT outta that room - and he's right! What was going through this guy's head listening to that?!
When Mitchell first came into mixed martial arts world, we all just thought he was the funny village idiot who almost powerdrilled his nuts off and believed the world was flat. Now that he's come out as a denier of both the Holocaust and Sandy Hook, and "based on his own research" thinks Hitler was a good guy who was right to "purify" his country - yeah, not so funny anymore. Guy's just a stupid scumbag spewing Nazi propaganda.
I'm glad Dana came out right away and made such a strong a statement against Mitchell, and while I've always respected his adamant defense of the First Amendment and free speech and whatnot….
….would anybody honestly miss Bryce if he got cut for this tomorrow? I'm not trying to be the 'cancel culture' guy, because I understand it becomes a slippery slope of where to draw the line - but I do feel like "Based on my own research, Hitler was a good guy" is a pretty good place to draw that line. Like he pointed out, though, at least in this business we can now root to see Mitchell get viciously knocked out in every fight he has from now until the end of time - and I do love watching Greg Hardy get slept, so he's got a point. Hopefully he just gets flatlined in the rest of the fights on his contract and he's gone after that.
