FIGHT! RIVALRY BACK ON: Pacers And Pistons Absolutely Hate Each Others Guts
Yes! The sicko in me can't get enough of this on court drama. Some people love to act disgusted that players are fighting in a basketball game, but not me. Oh, no. I love it. Bows are being thrown in the Pacers Pistons game after Isaiah Stewart a man so large and fat that he goes by the nickname Beef Stew had been chirping Myles Turner. Eventually Beef Stew got into it with James Johnson ( a man who is undefeated in his cage fighting career and essentially shows up to every game in hopes that he doesn't have to play ball, but can simply fight someone.) Well, instead of getting physical with Johnson, Beef Stew decided to give the people's elbow to Thomas Bryant. A bitch move, from a baby back bitch, but a smart idea to avoid getting your head caved in by an MMA master.
Now, all this started when the Pacers beat the Pistons a few weeks ago. The teams had been trading wins and going back and forth with shit talk, and now it all bubbled over into a legit fight. The Pistons absolutely STUNK last year, so seeing them on the schedule was usual a chore of a watch, but now that their roster has gotten significantly better, and now hate each other, it adds some needed spice.
I don't believe the NBA has been ruined due to more 3's, but the 90's kid in me misses the role of traditional big man in the post, and a time when teams legit hated each other. Maybe it's just the Pacers vs. Beef Stew, one of the biggest instigators in the NBA, but I'm going to add the entire Pistons roster to the list of teams that have legitimate bad blood with the Pacers.
Right now the list is currently the Bucks and Pistons. With Giannis trying to fight the whole Pacers locker room, and now Beef Stew throwing bows and telling the Indy crowd to fuck off, that's legit bad blood. I'd put the Knicks in there because Hicks vs Knicks is an all-time rivalry, but it seems like Haliburton / Brunson / Hart are all friends off the court, and with the NBA's Rachel Dolezal (Dante DiVincinzo) off the team, I think those teams actually get along.
Unfortunately, this is the last time the Pacers and Pistons play in the regular season, and baring a miracle that they meet in the post season, we'll probably have to wait till next year to see these two teams go at each other.
