Cooper DeJean Is Going To Have To Win Super Bowl MVP Now After Getting Left Out Of LeBron Dapping Up A Bunch Of Eagles Sitting Courtside

Can Patrick Mahomes win his 4th ring? Can Jalen Hurts become a Super Bowl winning QB and start to get the respect he deserves? Will Saquon Barkley cap off perhaps the most historic season in the history of running backs? Who will cause the most havoc between Chris Jones and Jalen Carter?

All of these are pretty big storylines heading into Super Bowl LIX next weekend. All of them were to be expected the moment the matchup ended up being a rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs. But one storyline that was born right in front of our very eyes last night at the Sixers game is the Cooper DeJean origin story. This moment right here is going to be what sets this young man off to make sure that LeBron James never misses him again when he's dapping up the crew. If LeBron James doesn't realize who Cooper DeJean is right now, he's going to make damn sure he knows who he is after February 9th.

Let's break it down real quick.

He first locks eyes onto LeBron as he's making his way down the line, taking a quick second to say what's up to Parris Campbell. Campbell also went to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, so the connection is there. Coop is hoping that he's just close enough at this point that LeBron continues to dap up everyone.

You see him briefly go to take his hand out of his hoodie pocket to prepare for the dap of his life. I'm sure he made sure to wipe his hand on the inner cotton layer of that pocket to absorb any potential clamminess of that hand. Last thing you'd ever want to do is dap up LeBron with a sweaty palm. But just as he's getting ready to take his hand out of his pocket, LeBron turns his back.

And right there. You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half. Head down, eyes to the ground. Just realizing that LeBron probably thinks he's some ordinary kid whose dad owns a marketing company and bought him courtside tickets to the game.

I mean what more does Cooper DeJean need to do to get on LeBron's radar? He already de-cleated Derrick Henry this year.

And I'm sure if LeBron ever saw Cooper DeJean's high school basketball highlights, he'd be pretty impressed with how the white boy can hoop.

I think it was probably a tactical error to have both of the Exciting Whites standing next to each other here. You needed to have them split up so LeBron didn't just think they were regular fans. Put Cooper DeJean in between AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, and maybe he gets himself a dap as well.

But in the meantime, the only thing Cooper DeJean can do now is ball the fuck out on February 9th. His birthday, no less! Go out and win the Super Bowl MVP. Then maybe next time LeBron is in Philly, he can get that dap.
