Notre Dame's Jordan Faison Gets Caught Red-Handed Skipping Lacrosse Practice To Go To Football Game

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's lacrosse program has won back-to-back national championships. Going for the 3-peat is going to be difficult considering they lost an all-time goalie in Liam Entenmann, and one of the best offensive wizards to come through South Bend in Pat Kavanagh. But Notre Dame still has plenty of talent to go out there and do something that hasn't been done since the turn of the century--win 3 national titles in a row. Hasn't been accomplished since Princeton in the 90s, but Notre Dame might just have the roster to give it a go.

One of those players they'll be relying on heavily this spring is Jordan Faison. A sophomore midfielder who put up 22 goals last year as a freshman. With that 22nd goal coming in the National Championship game.

Now that guys are back from winter break, it's officially preseason for college lacrosse. Practices every day of the week. Scrimmages. All gearing up for the start of the regular season on February 1st. Notre Dame's road to the 3-peat is underway right now with their 2nd full day of practice yesterday.

But one guy wasn't at practice yesterday. Care to take a guess as to who that could have been?

That's right. It would be pretty, pretty difficult for Jordan Faison to be at Notre Dame for lacrosse practice at the same time he is in Miami to play a football game.

And to make matters worse, Notre Dame won again last night. Which means they'll be playing on January 20th for the CFB National Championship in Atlanta. That's 10 more days of practice that Jordan Faison will be missing. It's one thing to miss lacrosse practice in the fall. But now that it's the spring semester, and Notre Dame will be opening up their season on February 12th against Cleveland State? Tsk tsk tsk.

P.S. -- Did you know that Jordan Faison played college lacrosse?
