Travis Scott Walking Jey Uso To The Ring On RAW While Smoking A Blunt/Dapping Up Michael Cole Was A Wild Sight To See
The very first edition Monday Night RAW on Netflix is underway - and it's been a pretty wild show so far with special appearances by Triple H, The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker (plus there was already a pay-per-view main event level match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa) but no visual has been quite as surreal as this one tonight....
Travis Scott, one of the biggest stars in hip hop/music (whether you like him or not, this is true) walking Jey Uso to the ring with a custom Hardcore Championship, smoking a blunt on his way down the aisle….
What a world….and what a come up for Jey Uso. It's pretty fucking cool that he's 'the guy' for these huge celebrity crossovers now. Got one of the biggest stars in the world ready to do something with WWE? Stick em with Main Event Jey and you know it'll work out.
Once they made their way to the ringside area, Michael Cole hit Travis Scott with one of the funniest dap-ups I've ever seen….
Cole gave off the same energy there that Gillie's neighbor from across the street gives off in his all his Eagles celebration dancing videos. You know the one - the guy with the broom. He's with it! He's hip! He's got it!
RAW has been a pretty great show overall so far - aside from everything involving The Rock, to be honest. He cut a bizarre out-of-character promo at the top of the show where he thanked all the corporate executives that made this deal possible, hugged Cody Rhodes, and acknowledged Roman Reigns. He pretty much abandoned the whole 'Final Boss' act and killed all tension with Cody/Reigns to spew out a few catchphrases and make the shareholders happy. He was Dwayne tonight - not The Rock. LAAAAAAME!
Roman vs Solo was awesome, though, as was John Cena's declaration for the Royal Rumble….
….and we've still got CM Punk vs Seth Rollins and an appearance from Hulk Hogan to come!
Plus, maybe most important of all - Netflix tech has been flawless tonight. Much better than Tyson v Paul.
UPDATE: Uhhh, we just got that appearance from Hogan, and he was booed outta the building. INCREDIBLY awkward. I can't imagine they keep trotting him out there for this kinda stuff after tonight….
