Love Is Real: Tom Holland & Zendaya Are Officially Engaged

LOVE IS REAL!!! After Zendaya was spotted wearing a big ol' rock on her finger at the Golden Globes last night....

….it appears TMZ did some digging and confirmed that Tom Holland and Zendaya are indeed engaged! 

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ … the "Spider Man" star popped the question between Christmas and New Year's … dropping to one knee in a very intimate setting in one of Zendaya's family homes in the United States.

We're told Tom didn't make a huge show of the engagement -- it wasn't a big, over-the-top proposal -- instead, it was very romantic and intimate.

They're the first real-life Peter Parker and MJ to get that far in their relationship, but not the first to date - as it's seemingly a canon event….

….and I'm happy for these crazy kids! They'd probably have to be my favorite celebrity couple in Hollywood right now. I hope I'm not cursing them when I say that, though, because I previously declared both Chris Pratt/Anna Farris and Channing Tatum/Zoe Kravitz my favorite celebrity couples, and they both broke up shortly afterwards. I'll knock on wood for this one.

We don't know much about their relationship, because of how private they've been, but it obviously only makes their on-screen chemistry as Peter Parker/MJ more palpable, and I'm sure their eventual reunion in the MCU will bring us all to tears - or maybe just me. I'm known to cry at these movies, for better or worse. They're also slated to star alongside each other in Christopher Nolan's new adaptation of 'The Odyssey' - so hopefully they don't get sick of each other! I bet they'll be fine, though - all of Tom Holland's quotes about her pass the test and come of as "green flags" if I'm being honest….
