'I'm Not Quitting Like Some Other Coaches' - Rick Pitino Doesn't Care How Difficult Things Are, He Ain't Ever Leaving College Hoops (Again)

Perfect by Rick Pitino. Barely win a game against Butler, immediately say you're struggling with some players but you're not quitting. The man knows how to deliver shots, always has, always will. He doesn't care and it's why college basketball is better with him in it and at a power conference school. He could be talking about Tony Bennett, Jim Larranaga, K, Wright, anyone really. Your guess is as good as anything else, but he's going to let you know he's not quitting. He's also being driven to drink by this team

I know people are going to bitch and moan about Pitino, but I love it. College basketball is built by coaches. We think of programs because of coaches. They are the face of the sport no matter what happens with NIL, transfer portal, anything else. You still think of the coaches first. That's why I love Pitino saying shit like this. He's one of those guys I never want to retire. He'll tell you as it is and just keep going about building St. John's into a Tournament team. 

So go ahead. If you want to quit, quit. Rick Pitino isn't going back to Greece. Future GM of Kentucky? Sure, that is a real possibility. But he's not going to quit like some others out there just because things are going tough.
