Cam Skattebo's Unbelievable Second Half Wasn't Enough as Arizona State Falls to Texas in 2OT

There has never been a more disappointing ending to an incredible game than what we got in the Peach Bowl. Cam Skattebo put Arizona State on his back and led the Sun Devils back from down 24-8 with less than 7:00 to go to force overtime before they ultimately fell in 2OT. And when I say he put the team on his back, I mean he did absolutely everything.

That guy is a certified demon. He finished with 30 carried for 143 yards and two touchdowns, eight receptions for 99 yards and completed his only pass attempt for a 42-yard touchdown. I'm sure there are some that rival it, but off the top of my head, that's the best performance in the College Football Playoff I can remember.

Texas looked in the first quarter like it was going to blow ASU out of the water, but the Longhorns stalled for pretty much the rest of the game. Bert Auburn missed a couple of key field goals in the fourth quarter, but the Texas offense didn't look too inspiring for most of the contest outside of some awesome catches from Matthew Golden. I'd be very excited if I was the winner of Ohio State-Oregon.

That game was awesome. I'm disappointed we won't get to see Skattebo get another game in the Playoff because he's the most electrifying player in college football. The streets will never forget.
