In His Rookie Season With 1 Game To Go, Jayden Already Has Better Numbers Than Lamar's Nearly Unanimous (49/50 Votes) MVP Season Last Year

Last year Lamar Jackson got 49/50 first place MVP votes. Currently, Lamar Jackson is the front runner for MVP once again. But now we must once again ask the age old question- what does "MVP" really mean? Are we asking who the best player is, or who the most valuable player to their team is? Because undeniably Lamar (Or Josh Allen, or Joe Burrow) is going to win this year's MVP for having outrageously good numbers.

I mean Lamar is just sickening how good he is- 3,955 yards, 39 TDs to only 4 INTs, and another 852 yards on the ground. Blowing out last year's MVP numbers where he had 3,678 passing yards, 24 TD, 67.2%, 821 rushing, and 5 rushing TDs. There's no denying Lamar is having one of the best seasons a QB has ever had and if he wins the MVP it would be well-deserved. Same goes for Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, but I'm using last year's Lamar numbers as my base example because of how it compare's to Jayden's year right now.

Let me put it this way- if we are talking about what player is the most VALUABLE to their team, I don't think a ball knower could say it's not Jayden. Do people outside Washington even realize how bad this roster is? How bad the Oline is? How the receivers besides Terry are practice squad guys everywhere else? If I said "Olamide Zaccheaus" to someone they would probably think I'm reciting a Harry Potter spell. But no, Olamide Zaccheaus is a WR who is getting a ton of targets for the Commanders. Noah Brown had been the #2 option before getting hurt and he was the Texans WR4/5 before being cut. And yet Jayden, in his rookie season, in a new system, with a spotty Oline, and guys named Olamide Zaccheaus lining up at WR, has better numbers than Lamar's MVP season. Mind blowing stuff.

I'm not saying give Jayden the MVP right now. I'm more or less just typing shit about how awesome he is. If you watched the game last night you saw Jayden say "fuck it, I'll do it myself". Thank god Zach Ertz had a great game because man, there was NOBODY else trying to help Jayden out.

We're so lucky to have JD5 in Washington. And next year when he has a new WR or 2, a better Oline, and isn't a ROOKIE, (I do think it's getting lost in the sauce this dude is still a rookie....like that's how quickly he's passed all expectations and how high the bar already is) I cannot imagine what he will be capable of.

We're now 11-5, in the playoffs, and it's only year 1 of the rebuild. HTTC. And HTJD5.
