Tanner McKee Has Led The Philadelphia Eagles To An NFC East Championship, Just As Everyone Expected At The Beginning Of The Year
Philadelphia is the QB Factory capital of the world. All this city does is pump out QB1 after QB1. There are some teams out there like the New York Giants who don't have a single quarterback on their roster. The Eagles always manage to have 3 guys who could all be starters in this league. If it's not Jalen Hurts, then it is Kenny Pickett getting the start today and throwing for 143 yards, a passing touchdown, and a rushing touchdown. If Kenny Pickett gets injured halfway through the game because he weighs 135 lbs soaking wet, then it's Tanner McKee taking over and making a STRONG claim as the greatest 3rd string quarterback to ever exist.
The Cowboys would kill to have a guy on their roster who can sling the rock like that. Meanwhile, Tanner McKee needs two dudes ahead of him to die in order to just get on the field. He also needs set up a military extraction mission just to retrieve his first touchdown ball from the stands after AJ Brown launched it 30 rows up.
Throwing the ball to AJ Brown is always a pretty smart decision. Equally as genius of a move is throwing the ball in DeVonta Smith's direction.
Tanner fuckin' McKee, man. This is a quarterback that Jerry Jones could only ever dream of having on the Cowboys one day. Meanwhile, he has to sit there and watch him completely decimate his defense as a 3rd stringer coming in to lock up another NFC East title for the Philadelphia Eagles.
A 41-7 shellacking. Complete and total domination from the moment that putrid 1st quarter ended. I'll admit that things were looking dicey there in the first 15 minutes of the game. It looked like we were in store for yet another game where the Eagles refuse to put their foot on the throat of a wildly weaker opponent. But after that 1st quarter, the Eagles remembered they are a bunch of shit kickers who mercilessly torment teams. They remembered that Saquon Barkley is the most valuable player in this league, and kept feeding him.
Saquon hit the 2k mark on the season. The defense were a bunch of ball hawks. Tanner McKee is a certified guy. And now the Philadelphia Eagles are NFC East Champs. Maybe the way it all happened was a little different than the way we would have envisioned it back in September. But the destination was always the same.
