Shedeur Sanders Showed Up to The Alamo Bowl With Custom New York Giants Cleats, Proceeds to Play Like a New York Giants Quarterback

I was honestly a little worried about Shedeur after seeing that clip. If you take that brief snippet of Shedeur and Shilo Sanders' conversation at face value, I'm afraid Shedeur doesn't understand how trades work.

Shilo: "You don't know where you're going. Someone can trade up."

Shedeur: "You can't get higher than 1."

But the Giants can get lower Shedeur! They can trade back! But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue. Or more likely it was a joke that Shedeur thought he nailed but in reality just didn't really make any sense. I'm sure he's talked to someone connected with the Giants organization who assured him they'll be selecting him with their first overall pick. He must have. I know Shedeur Sanders is cocky, but he doesn't want to look like an idiot. Surely he isn't dumb enough to bring Giants cleats to a game unless he was 100%. Right?

Unless he's attempting to manifest himself as a #1 NFL Draft pick. Like how women do. Maybe he recently read 'The Secret' and now subscribes to the theory that if he simply lives his life as if he's the #1 overall draft pick, then everything will fall into place. So far he's right. The minute Shedeur Sanders went public with those cleats, his body was overcome by the spirit of a New York Giants quarterback.

Shedeur Sanders' custom New York Giants cleats were so contagious he didn't even have to wear them. Maybe I missed something. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I can't find a single piece of evidence that shows him actually wearing the cleats. Clearly he doesn't have them on in the game. It appears he didn't even wear them in warmups.

But the minute those cleats entered the Colorado Buffaloes' locker room, it was all over. They were so contagious even the little talent Colorado's offensive had was stripped away from them. Colorado's kicker missed on his only attempt. Everybody but Travis Hunter looked like a true blue New York Giant out there.

Hell of a career from Shedeur Sanders. Probably should have been invited to the Heisman ceremony this year. Probably shouldn't have had those cleats made. But at the very least, college football was more entertaining with Shedeur Sanders and Colorado's ridiculous antics. It was a hell of a ride. But careful what you wish for on the next level Shedeur. You'll probably get it.
