Hulk Hogan & Chael Sonnen Walked Colby Covington Out To The Cage Tonight

Listen - I'm obviously not the biggest Colby Covington fan in the world, but walking out to Hulk Hogan's theme WITH the Hulkster himself flanking you, waving the American flag? That's the stuff every young wrestling fan has dreamed of. 

I mean, I know Hulk has had his fair share of real bad fuck ups and controversies over the years, but in pre-school I had the guy above my family on a list of things I liked....

He meant a lot to a lot of us when we were little, okay?! We were eatin our vitamins and sayin our prayers! So yeah, as much as I hate Colby Covington - and I hate Colby Covington - I can't really hate on this too much. He plays the American bad guy and got two of the best American "bad guys" ever to walk him out: "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "The American Gangster" Chael Sonnen. It was kinda perfect.

I could say pre-cutting the shirt to rip was lame and the work of a beta-male….

….or I guess I could complain that with the 'Real American' walkout, we missed out on his usual Kurt Angle inspired walkout - complete with "YOU SUCK" chants. That's usually pretty good. 

And while we're nitpicking - it kinda made me sad to see how slow the Hulkster is moving nowadays, and I'm gonna blame Colby for highlighting that….and for being such a hatable guy that the crowd didn't even really want to pop for Hulk Hogan in Tampa. Fuck Colby for all that!

I haven't even really mentioned Chael Sonnen, either - but he's been a great mouthpiece for Covington all week….

Chael as Covington's Paul Heyman is a lot more interesting and funny than Colby speaking for himself. He should get Sonnen to cut promos for him whenever humanely possible. 

UPDATE: I was gonna put this in a separate blog, but I figured I midas whale just toss it at the end of this one - Joaquin Buckley just beat the absolute shit out of Colby Covington; he got the win via doctor stoppage in the third round.
