Cub Swanson Sleeps Billy Q After An Absolute War To Keep The Crazy Knockouts Going Tonight

This one is a little bittersweet to blog about. I love Cub Swanson, just like every other MMA fan in the world, but I also love Billy Quarantillo, who has been awesome to us over the years. Watching him get knocked out like that in his hometown of Tampa just flat out sucked, as great a moment as it was for Cub in what could've been his final fight....

(I'm not sure why that UFC tweet says he's not done yet after he pretty much says he's done)

If that truly winds up being Cub Swanson's final fight, what a moment to go out on. And honestly, the entire fight was awesome before the KO and felt like a vintage fight of his. I'd say it was 19-19 going into the third and final round and incredibly back and forth the whole time. There were plenty of moments where it felt like each guy coulda been hurt and Cub's white shorts were painted red by the end. Just another banger on this card. Can you attribute it to the live crowd?! 

Congrats to Cub on the huge knockout and possible retirement - and get well soon Billy Q. Uncle Dana is gonna have to be Santa tonight with bonuses, huh?
