Jon Heyman (Scott Boras' Mouthpiece) Believes Every Contender For Juan Soto Besides The Dodgers Has An Offer Out There For At Least $700,000,000

Boy is it good to be Juan Soto. It wasn't so long ago in the summer of 2022 when the superstar outfielder turned down a massive $440M extension from the Nationals. That prompted the team to ship him off to the Padres and begin this circus. Fast forward to the present and you've got four teams seemingly at or right around $700M for his services.

It's pretty funny that everyday Jon Heyman goes in front of a camera, seemingly held at gun point to offer whatever kind of message that's on the daily propaganda board at Boras Corp. How much does he get paid for this shit? Dude gets used and abused every December when a big name from Boras' client list hits the market. Today's mission was to tell the Mets that your $700M offer isn't that special and that everyone else minus the Dodgers are right there with you. That or trick the other teams into upping their offer. This of course comes on the heels of Carlos Mendoza's 12 year old son apparently leaking their offer on Tiktok. Yeah, that happened.

Safe to say we've reached rockbottom when it comes to this saga.

As we round the final turn and sprint towards the finish line it seems certain that Soto will hit a record setting number. Crazy for a one way player who is subpar on the defensive side? Certainly, but his age and offensive skillset created a legit bidding war that's gotten us to these heights.

I imagine by the end of tomorrow everyone's final offer will be in and he'll have his decision to make. Sunday feels like the day we find out? Maybe that's more me wishfully thinking since I have a wedding to attend and don't need this news breaking during it.

What I'm curious about is whether Soto right now knows where he wants to play. Is this all posturing from Boras to get let's say the Yankees up to the magic number? Is there a magic number? Is he truly undecided and what each team does in the next 36 hours decides his fate? I'm equally fascinated as I am exhausted and terrified.
