Dudes Rock: Woj Retired From The Scoops Game To Live Above A College Bar, While Trying To Turn St. Bonaventure Into A Hoops Power Program

Quick shout out to Woj too, who revealed he's battling prostate cancer:

Good news is he says he'll be fine. But I wanted to lead with that real quick because any time you hear those words you immediately think the worst.

Now, as to his life as St. Bonaventure GM? It's this. You wanna talk about awesome career changes, ones that dudes dream about? This is up there. I mean it's no going from purchasing manager to smut blogger, but it's up there. Woj retired from the scoops game. Put his phone down, retired his contacts and decided to go back home. Back to his alma mater St. Bonaventure, try to turn them into a powerhouse and live above the college bar. That's awesome. If you're going to do it, do it right.

This bar looks unreal too. Just a perfect college bar. I know every college has one and as I travel around colleges to catch games it's the one thing I always want to see. You talk to your friends from high school who went to different colleges or friends postgrad and everyone has a story about THE bar at the school they went to. Shout out Two Keys. That was the bar at Kentucky. $10 all you can drink Thursday's was arguably the most important day in college.

I'd take it another step for Woj. Really embrace living in a college apartment. Pong table, only solo cups and some free plastic cups you get on campus in the apartment. But you gotta get up some posters. Get up the poster of Belushi drinking, probably need a Carmen Electra poster from the 90s, the girls kissing, play the classics.

Think about the change for Woj though. Dude went from face buried in a phone to see if Taj Gibson was signing a 10-day deal to now searching high and low for quarters just to do his laundry. It's how you embrace the GM role. I think St. Bonaventure can be a consistent tournament team. Woj has enough contacts to get some money into the program and the A-10 is always all over the place. Dayton feels like the only consistent team there.
