Jameis Winston Said He's "Praying For The Lord To Deliver Me From Pick-Sixes"
How is this guy a real human? Forget the football game yesterday, in which he had both is best and worst game ever. Actually, I guess I should mention that for a second. The dude cemented himself in Cleveland Browns franchise HISTORY last night by throwing for the most single-game passing yards ever with 497. That means through his 5 starts, he now holds two of the top 8 yardage games ever in the organization. My mind can't ever comprehend that....and add in the fact that he also threw for 4 touchdowns last night means that he had to have had a pretty damn good game, right? Umm, kinda? He also threw 2 more touchdowns for the other team, totaling 3 interceptions in all.
Here's a good stat for you:
That sums up the Jameis Winston experience in Cleveland. The dude is great and horrible at the exact same time, and you never know if he's going to drop back and throw a dime to the guys in Orange and Brown, or if he's going to throw it directly at the other team to the point where you're truly shocked he's in the NFL. But anyways, point of the blog is he had perhaps the funniest post-game quote I've ever seen:
I don't know why I think it's funny when Jameis posts it, but completely despise when the Buckeyes lose and then instead of fighting Michigan hold a prayer circle, or the stories circulating that when they lost to Oregon, the message from the Seniors was this is God's plan and he's testing us……but that's just the way it is. Jameis can win / lose / throw touchdowns / throw pick sixes or do whatever he wants. He's so fucking electric in his pregame, postgame, and mid-game NFL films that I've officially put him on the tier below only Charles Barkley as best personalities in all of sports. And that makes me wonder…..what's Jameis' life look like after football? Is he a podcaster? An analyst? A talk show host? I have no idea but someone is going to back up the brinks truck for this dude because he simply does not miss when he gets microphone in front of him.
**Also it would be very cool if the Lord does deliver him from Pick-Sixes and he doesn't through one the rest of his career. Through Christ, all things are possible.
