Two Weeks After Breaking His Leg Ovi Is Back On The Ice
This is nuts. NUTS I TELL YA! Bro broke his leg two weeks ago. An injury that most would never recover from. An injury many would have their leg amputated for. But not Alexander Ovechkin. Not the Russian Machine. Not only was his timetable "week-to-week", but just two weeks after breaking it, he's already back skating on it.
You can try to make sense of how this is possible, but you won't be able to. He is the literal definition of "built different". There's a reason he's staring down the barrel of Wayne Gretzky's record and 900 career goals. There's a reason he has barely missed any games in his 20 year NHL career. And there's a reason when he got hurt 2 weeks ago, at 39 years old, he was leading the NHL in goals. Alexander Ovechkin is simply built different, so while it's shocking he's already skating, we also shouldn't be shocked at all. Putin flew over some top tier Russian baby fetuses, Ovi snapped their heads off and drank their blood, and now he's stronger than ever. It may not have gone exactly like that, but it also wouldn't shock me.
Meanwhile, the Caps are ho hum in first place, after rattling off 4 straight wins, 3 against current playoff teams.
They are easily the best coached team I've ever watched. Spencer Carbery is a miracle worker. And for the love of god, give Jakob Chychrun a blank check. However much money he wants, give him that and more. Need him on the blue line forever.
First place and Ovi on his way back. Dare I say it...Our Year?
